Position Summary:
The Finance Operations Manager plays a crucial role in supervising the daily functions of the finance department. This position involves mentoring finance personnel and contributing to the leadership team. The manager will collaborate closely with the finance team to facilitate financial processes and guarantee precise financial reporting and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Month-End Close Management:
    Oversee the month-end closing activities to ensure deadlines are met by the finance team. Prepare and review account reconciliations, journal entries, and related schedules.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis:
    Generate accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Review and analyze monthly financial reports to provide insights into the organization’s financial health.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
    Assist in the development and management of budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Accounts Payable Oversight:
    Review and approve weekly invoices and payments, ensuring accuracy in reconciliations.
  • Payroll Management:
    Prepare and process payroll, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements and accuracy in journal entries.
  • Tax Compliance:
    Coordinate the filing of federal and state tax returns, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Financial Controls Improvement:
    Evaluate and enhance financial processes, policies, and internal controls to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Team Leadership:
    Manage and develop finance department staff, assigning tasks and ensuring project completion while fostering a collaborative environment.

Work Environment:
Ophthalmology LTD operates Monday through Friday, offering a supportive work culture.
