Hose and Fittings Store Supervisor

Job Overview

The Hose and Fittings Store Supervisor plays a pivotal role in delivering outstanding customer service to counter clients. This position involves providing leadership and training to store staff while overseeing their daily activities. The supervisor will also be responsible for fabricating safe hose and tubing assemblies tailored to customer specifications, ensuring compliance with Cross assembly standards. Additionally, this role includes assisting with inventory management and various operational tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service with prompt, knowledgeable, and courteous responses to inquiries.
  • Negotiate pricing with clients to secure business while optimizing profit margins on transactions.
  • Fabricate hose and tube assemblies according to customer requirements, adhering to safety assembly procedures.
  • Perform all inventory management functions, including shipping, receiving, cycle counts, and reconciliation.
  • Continuously enhance product knowledge and soft skills.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace.
  • Foster positive relationships with customers, vendors, and colleagues.
  • Manage daily cash handling processes, including balancing the cash drawer and preparing bank deposits.

Additional Duties

  • Understand and meet customer needs by matching products and services effectively.
  • Communicate the features, advantages, and benefits of our products to customers.
  • Clearly articulate our competitive advantages and value propositions.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and direct them to the Customer Care Team as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Assist in equipment maintenance and keep accurate records of hose equipment logs.
  • Complete assigned performance and development goals.
  • Maintain Parker Certified Connector Specialist status.
  • Communicate significant issues respectfully and supportively.
  • Perform various tasks and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Completion of basic supervisory training.
  • High School diploma or GED required; some college or technical school preferred.

Physical and Mental Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods while serving customers and assembling hoses.
