Role Overview
This position is part of Blue Origin Operations, which encompasses Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security. This includes support for Manufacturing and Supply Chain across all Blue Origin locations.

As a member of a dedicated team of specialists, technicians, and engineers, you will develop a cohesive manufacturing system that utilizes cutting-edge processes to design and produce advanced space propulsion systems.

In collaboration with manufacturing and facilities teams, you will oversee the identification of manufacturing and facility requirements, apply Lean methodologies, and generate critical information to enhance the efficiency and reliability of advanced manufacturing processes.

Working alongside facility automation engineers, process engineers, design and analysis engineers, machine operators, enterprise tool developers, and equipment vendors, you will pinpoint requirements and opportunities for data, tools, equipment, and workflow automation.

Your contributions will significantly influence the future of space exploration, demanding your unwavering commitment and meticulous attention to detail to ensure safe and repeatable spaceflight.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects related to manufacturing.
- Meet targets for production rates, cycle times, and lead times in assigned work centers.

- Provide production support through scheduling, budget management, resource allocation, and scenario planning.

- Drive process improvements utilizing Lean Manufacturing, statistical methods, and waste reduction techniques.

- Enhance operations through ergonomic assessments, capacity planning, and systems design.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Over 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with assembly manufacturing processes.
- At least 2 years of experience in factory flow modeling and simulations.
- Proven track record in leading continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Python, R, or SQL.
- Excellent communication skills and a self-starter attitude.
- Ability to build trust and maintain professional relationships in a diverse environment.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degrees in Operations Management, Construction Management, or related fields.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
- Experience in transitioning development to production in aerospace manufacturing.
- Strong collaboration skills and hands-on experience with manufacturing processes.
