Role Summary:

This position is situated within the Engines division of Blue Origin, concentrating on the design, development, manufacturing, and testing of propulsion systems and engines.

Our versatile engine family is set to power the next generation of rockets for various applications, including commercial, civil, national security, and human spaceflight.

In this role, you will collaborate with a diverse group of engineers at the crossroads of program management, engineering, supply chain, testing, manufacturing, and quality assurance, enhancing team coordination and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and monitor project timelines to ensure the delivery of combustion device components and sub-assemblies for development, qualification, and flight hardware.
  • Prioritize, track, and report on progress related to assembly and acceptance testing, including engineering releases and production control.
  • Develop and manage a balance line for hardware and essential tooling to support forthcoming builds and tests.
  • Keep a detailed log of hardware usage, tracking location, maintenance history, and lifecycle of integration hardware.
  • Work with manufacturing engineering to create detailed procedures and establish a roadmap for production.
  • Assess the programmatic impact of engineering change requests and coordinate with stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, removing obstacles with the support of your Integrated Project Team Lead (IPTL).
  • Report on critical project metrics and inform the IPTL of any schedule-sensitive hardware, equipment, or personnel.
Qualifications:

Essential:

  • B.S. Degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the aerospace sector, particularly in combustion device component fabrication and testing.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot effectively and maintain project momentum.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to foster trusting relationships that enhance team performance.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful resident.

Preferred:

  • Experience with rocket engine combustion design and manufacturing.
  • Experience in project management or leading technical teams.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Primavera P6.
