About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced sales professional to join our team as a Cloud Business Development Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing a sales strategy to drive growth and adoption of Amazon Web Services (AWS) within the US Army and Department of Defense (DoD).

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a deep understanding of the US Army's cloud computing needs and develop a sales strategy to address these needs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within the US Army and DoD, including senior military and civilian leaders.
  • Drive business and technical relationships to close deals and achieve sales targets.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS products and services and develop a deep understanding of their capabilities and applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute sales strategies and tactics.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of full sales cycle, technology sales or equivalent business development, sales engineering/consulting or equivalent experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software.
  • Experience in engineering, computer science, or MIS.
  • Experience driving new business in greenfield accounts at the C-suite level or equivalent.

Compensation

The base pay for this position ranges from $83,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $177,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. This position is eligible for variable pay via a sales compensation plan. These plans pay according to achievement level against sales targets and/or business objectives. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
