Job Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional human resources assistance to all personnel, supervisors, and management. Offer guidance on timekeeping systems, payroll, benefits, and the onboarding process for new hires. Manage payroll transactions related to HR activities. Conduct training sessions for staff on relevant policies and procedures.

Oversee background checks, including fingerprinting and drug screening when necessary. Facilitate the onboarding process and manage timekeeping systems effectively.


Employment Details

This is a wage position, restricted to a maximum of 1,500 hours per agency within a specified 12-month timeframe. Wage employees are limited to an average of 29 hours per week. This position does not provide state benefits.


Essential Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required. Familiarity with timekeeping practices is essential. Must possess the ability to interpret and apply general human resource policies and procedures. Proficiency in PC operations, including various HR databases, is necessary. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to manage detailed and time-sensitive tasks efficiently.

Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, along with excellent customer service abilities. Candidates must be capable of working in a dynamic environment while maintaining confidentiality and integrity.


Additional Considerations

Knowledge of timekeeping practices is advantageous. Advanced understanding of business operations, office procedures, and automated applications is preferred. Experience with relevant software such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and DocuSign is beneficial. General knowledge of benefits administration, including leave policies and regulations, is a plus.
