Role Responsibilities

The Senior Director/VP of Business Applications will be instrumental in steering Tech Electronics towards achieving its strategic objectives by ensuring that our business applications are effectively aligned and managed. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with business applications and a solid understanding of business processes in sales, operations, and finance, enabling them to lead the team effectively and meet organizational goals.


This role encompasses the leadership of the implementation and enhancement of business applications, including overseeing the selection, deployment, and ongoing management of software systems that facilitate the company's operations and growth trajectory. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the modernization of our internal systems.


Key Duties:

  • Formulate and execute strategies for the selection, deployment, and maintenance of business applications.
  • Manage relationships with business application vendors and partners.
  • Evaluate decisions regarding custom development versus purchasing systems and modules.
  • Ensure alignment of business applications with the company’s overarching goals.
  • Collaborate with business units and stakeholders to assess their needs and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Oversee budget and timelines for business application initiatives.
  • Stay informed about new vendor capabilities and explore opportunities for implementation.
  • Lead a team of business analysts and developers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Provide mentorship and support to team members, ensuring they have the resources to succeed.
  • Focus the team on achieving business outcomes and enhancing user satisfaction.
  • Facilitate risk identification and mitigation to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Conduct business process sessions with key users to understand workflows and data flows.
  • Simplify and prioritize business requirements, providing a roadmap for solution delivery.
  • Innovate and design IoT applications for customer use.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity.
  • Demonstrated expertise in implementing and managing business applications such as CRM, field service, customer success management, financials, and materials management.
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies, including data and process flows, user journeys, and agile delivery.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • Strong leadership and management capabilities.
  • A technical background is preferred.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Netsuite, Sage, or Microsoft Dynamics is advantageous.

This position reports directly to the CEO, offering opportunities for growth and direct involvement in technology investments.
