Role Summary: Senior Director/VP of Business Applications

The Senior Director/VP of Business Applications is pivotal in steering Tech Electronics towards achieving its strategic objectives by ensuring that our business applications are effectively aligned and maintained. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with specific business applications and a solid understanding of sales, operations, and finance processes.

This position offers a pathway for growth and increased responsibilities as we modernize our internal systems.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute strategies for the selection, implementation, and upkeep of business applications.
  • Oversee vendor and partner management for business applications.
  • Evaluate decisions on custom development versus purchasing systems and modules.
  • Ensure alignment of business applications with the company's overarching goals.
  • Collaborate with various business teams and stakeholders to identify needs and areas for enhancement.
  • Manage project budgets and timelines for business application initiatives.
  • Stay informed about new vendor capabilities and identify opportunities for leverage.
  • Lead a team of business analysts and developers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Provide mentorship and support to team members, ensuring they have the resources needed for success.
  • Focus the team on achieving business outcomes and user satisfaction.
  • Facilitate risk identification and mitigation to ensure successful iterative delivery.
  • Conduct business process sessions with power users to understand workflows and data flows.
  • Simplify and prioritize business needs, providing a roadmap for solution delivery.
  • Innovate and design IoT applications for customer use.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing and maintaining business applications such as CRM, field service, customer success management, financials, and materials management.
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies, including data and process flows, user journeys, and agile delivery.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently.
  • Strong leadership and management capabilities.
  • Technical background is preferred.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Netsuite, Sage, or Microsoft Dynamics is advantageous.

This role reports directly to the CEO, providing opportunities for growth and direct involvement in technology investments.
