Position Overview
As a Workforce Technology Services, Cloud Services Manager at Verisk, you will be part of a vibrant and innovative community, working with advanced technologies while continuously enhancing your skills. Your focus will be on our clients, ensuring their success and satisfaction, while taking responsibility for your contributions.
Role Purpose
Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and maintain enterprise systems that optimize workforce productivity through cloud technologies. You will ensure that solutions are secure, scalable, and compliant with industry standards and best practices.
Key Objectives
- Elevate the reputation and capabilities of the IS&T team by delivering exceptional service and technical expertise to all stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement across operations, engineering, and development, leading to measurable enhancements in efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage a team to provide effective operational support across all environments within your technical domain.
- Regularly assess environments for compliance with enterprise standards, planning and tracking necessary improvements.
- Collaborate with vendors and IT personnel for technical design, implementation, and issue resolution.
- Offer design guidance to business partners to maximize the use of selected technologies.
- Implement enhancements to team services through innovative technologies, improved processes, and comprehensive training.
- Develop and maintain automation and documentation for repeatable design patterns to enhance system efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Lead technical programs and projects through all execution phases.
Success Metrics
- Demonstrable contributions to innovation, security, and optimization of company technologies.
- Documented project plans with successful completion within targeted timelines.
- Positive feedback from business partners and team members regarding support and collaboration.
Qualifications
- Proven ability to build effective relationships at all organizational levels.
- A strong desire to learn and explore innovative solutions to complex challenges.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility in work hours, including availability for nights and weekends as needed.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree.
- Extensive experience in designing, managing, and supporting enterprise infrastructure systems and networking concepts.
- Familiarity with public cloud services, particularly Azure, and experience with ITSM methodologies.
- Experience with database platforms and CI/CD tools, along with a solid customer service background.
- Proficiency in creating technical documentation using standard tools.
