SourcePro Search is conducting a search for a distinguished Senior Manager of Legal Recruitment to become a vital part of the Legal Talent Office within a prestigious global law firm.
The successful candidate will oversee the entire recruitment process, with a specific emphasis on attracting law students and managing the summer associate initiative. This role involves close collaboration with the Director of Legal Recruiting & Training to develop and implement efficient processes and best practices.
Reporting directly to the Director, the Senior Manager will lead a team of two professionals.
Regular interaction with various departments within the Legal Talent Office, including Diversity Management and Legal Personnel, as well as key stakeholders such as the Chief Talent Officer and the Hiring Committee, will be essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and manage on-campus and pre-OCI recruiting efforts at designated law schools, ensuring seamless logistics, candidate communication, and coordination with career services.
  • Collaborate with partner team leaders to execute tailored strategies for their respective school teams, including organizing law school events and overseeing the Firm's sponsorship of student organizations.
  • Design and implement a premier summer associate program, encompassing orientation, mentorship, assignments, evaluations, and social activities.
  • Mentor and guide junior members of the recruiting team in partnership with the Director, while coordinating with recruiting counterparts across the Firm's non-NY offices on various initiatives.
  • Work alongside the Business Development team to create engaging recruitment marketing materials and content for the careers website.
  • Manage the survey processes for Chambers Associate, Vault, and American Lawyer, collaborating with the Director to establish best practices and maintain strong relationships with key contacts at each publication.
  • Track and analyze recruitment data in collaboration with the Director for reporting to key stakeholders.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the Director and the Hiring Committee, proactively providing market intelligence.
  • Ensure compliance with firm and client information protocols, including adherence to information security policies and reporting any security risks to management.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s degree is required, along with a minimum of 8-10 years of recruitment experience, preferably within a law firm or professional services setting.
  • The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual with exceptional attention to detail, strong communication abilities, and a proactive approach.
  • Must demonstrate the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Creativity, flexibility, and openness to new ideas and evolving responsibilities are essential.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive issues with discretion.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment are crucial.
