The Legal Recruitment Assistant will be an integral part of a collaborative and supportive team environment.
This role involves providing essential administrative assistance to the Legal Recruitment Coordinators and the Legal Recruitment Manager, particularly in the planning and execution of the summer associate program, as well as facilitating the firm's hiring initiatives for 1L, 2L, and 3L candidates.
Additionally, the Assistant will support the onboarding process for fall associates.Key Responsibilities:
Legal Recruitment Support
Offer comprehensive assistance to the Legal Recruitment Coordinators and Legal Recruitment Manager
Coordinate and manage all facets of the summer associate program, including events, training sessions, name tags, and response collection.
Assist with the onboarding and orientation of summer associates as needed (e.g., preparing materials) Attend summer associate program events as required
Maintain the summer associate work assignment board
Facilitate the administration of summer associate evaluations at mid-summer and end-of-summer
Act as a representative of the firm
Help organize 1L and rising 2L events and sponsorship opportunities
Compile materials for on-campus recruiting and manage post-OCI callback decisions
Prepare materials for hiring meetings and assist with follow-up tasks
Support the scheduling of interviews as necessary
Organize and execute the NALP shared expense reimbursement process
Complete law school hiring outcome surveys
Track and file incoming resumes while maintaining recruiting databases
Ensure the LawCruit database is accurate and up-to-date
Maintain the NetDocs file management system with complete records
Assist with the onboarding and orientation of fall associates as necessary
Conduct office tours for summer associates, fall associates, and lateral associates
Monitor inventory of marketing materials and order additional supplies for recruitment purposes as needed
Be prepared to work overtime as requested, particularly during peak months
Collaborate effectively across teams and departments within the firm
Perform additional duties as assigned or as deemed necessary.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
Demonstrated strong organizational and time-management abilities, with a focus on prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines; excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work independently and take initiative
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with databases (such as LawCruit) is advantageous.
