Senior Patient Account Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Patient Account Representative to join our team at OU-Physicians Tulsa Central Billing Office. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to patients, resolving account issues, and working with insurance companies to ensure accurate billing and payment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service to patients via phone, email, and in-person
- Resolve account issues, including balance due and past due accounts
- Work with insurance companies to ensure accurate billing and payment
- Research and resolve bad addresses, file insurance claims, and mail collection letters
- Post patient payments to accounts and make adjustments as needed
- Participate in claims processing and accounts receivable functions, including billing, charge entry, and credit balance resolution
- High School Diploma or GED
- 24 months recent experience in medical billing, medical collections, or medical billing systems (Allscripts, Epic, or other)
- Proficient skills in data entry, medical account reconciliation, and charge entries
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Office and Outlook
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work successfully with a diverse group of faculty, staff, and patients
- EPIC, Allscripts, and EMR experience
- Experience working in a large practice with several providers
- Experience working with government insurance plans
