Role Summary: The Safety Coordinator plays a crucial role in reducing job-related hazards and fostering a culture of health and safety at designated project sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in safety inspections, regular meetings, and site walkthroughs as required.
  • Educate team members on safety protocols and expectations, including safe equipment usage.
  • Provide actionable recommendations to enhance workplace safety.
  • Thoroughly understand NTI and Project Owners' safety documentation, management tools, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Collaborate daily with foremen and NTI personnel to ensure adherence to safe work practices and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
  • Oversee the incident reporting and analysis process for unexpected events on-site.
  • Work closely with local leadership and the NTI Safety Director to maintain a unified approach to safety in the field.
  • Ensure daily briefings and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) are conducted on-site.
  • Facilitate regular safety toolbox talks.
  • Implement site-specific safety plans and JHAs for high-risk tasks.
  • Conduct daily visual inspections of the job site and perform weekly documented safety assessments.
  • Manage and upload all project safety documentation to the project owner's online portal.
  • Execute additional project-related safety duties as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 1-2 years of experience in safety coordination.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in health and safety or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and safety auditing software.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations, including OSHA standards.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, capable of building effective professional relationships with employees and project managers.
