Roto-Rooter, a leading provider of plumbing and drain cleaning services, is seeking an experienced Safety Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring a safe working environment for our employees and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Branch Safety Management: Coordinate and complete required Branch safety activities, including job site observations, vehicle inspections, and Branch safety meetings.
  • Facility Assessment: Conduct assessments of Branch physical facilities to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Equipment Inspections: Inspect Roto-Rooter owned equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Inventory Management: Coordinate the purchase and inventory management of personal protective and loss prevention equipment.
  • Training and Development: Coordinate and complete required Branch safety training, including OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
  • Leadership and Communication: Lead the Branch safety team and educate employees on safety best practices, OSHA regulations, and company policies.
  • Incident Investigation: Conduct and assist with investigations of incidents, report findings, and provide recommendations to management.
  • Safety Reporting: Evaluate and report on Branch safety practices, including the completion of the monthly Branch Safety Report.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Participate in monthly conference calls with the Region Safety Manager to review safety activities and progress.
Requirements
  • Excellent Communication and Training Skills: Possess excellent communication and training skills, with the ability to effectively instruct and educate employees.
  • OSHA Knowledge and Experience: Have knowledge and experience with OSHA regulations and safety equipment.
  • Technical Skills: Be comfortable using Microsoft programs, internet, and smartphones.
