Job Summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking a highly skilled Fire Sprinkler Service Technician to join our team. As a Fire Sprinkler Service Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, operation, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance on fire sprinkler systems to ensure they are functioning properly and meet industry standards.
  • Service and inspect wet, dry, and pre-action fire suppression systems to identify any potential issues or deficiencies.
  • Install, maintain, repair, or replace fire sprinkler equipment and systems in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Service wet-based fire sprinkler systems to ensure they are functioning correctly.
  • Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner to provide excellent customer service.
  • Complete detailed inspection reports documenting any issues or results of work completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Protect and maintain company equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Work in a safe manner as outlined by company safety procedures, including driver safety and personal protective equipment.
  • Respond to emergency service calls to provide prompt and effective service.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience with fire sprinkler systems is preferred.
  • Experience with commercial and residential systems is required.
  • Troubleshooting skills are essential.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment are required.
  • A clean driving record and reliable transportation to/from the office or job site are necessary.
  • Flexibility with scheduling requirements, including evening, weekend, and out-of-town assignments, is required.
Physical Requirements
  • While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and is occasionally required to lift and/or move heavy objects.
  • The work also requires the following physical abilities in order to perform the essential job functions: balancing, climbing, grasping, hearing, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, repetitive motion, speaking, talking, and visual acuity.
