Position Overview:

We are in search of a skilled Senior Research Associate/Associate Scientist specializing in formulation development to play a vital role within our platform development team. This individual will be instrumental in advancing our discovery research and development initiatives. The role involves the formulation of sophisticated lipid-based nano-delivery systems for advanced nucleic acid therapeutics, including the optimization and troubleshooting of formulation processes and the exploration of innovative materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the creation of unique and novel formulations based on nucleic acids.
  • Characterize product profiles to enhance process optimization and ensure batch-to-batch consistency.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of all experimental procedures, data, and protocols.
  • Organize and manage the storage and inventory of materials and supplies.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of scientists to address challenges and foster innovation.
  • Uphold high standards of scientific integrity and accountability.
  • Facilitate communication across various departments and support project teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, or a related field.

Preferred Experience:

  • Hands-on experience with nano-formulation techniques for nucleic acid therapeutics, including filtration methods and characterization of nanoparticulated substances.
  • Proficiency in pipetting, buffer preparation, and using analytical balances.
  • Familiarity with HPLC, UV-Vis, and fluorescent plate assays is advantageous.
  • Able to conduct independent research and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a diverse team.

Compensation:

Seawolf Therapeutics offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including equity incentives. The anticipated salary range for this position is $74,000 - $120,000, with the final offer determined by various factors including experience and education.
