Position Overview

Acture Solutions is in search of a seasoned Senior IT Systems Administrator to enhance our dynamic team. Your Responsibilities:

  • System Oversight: Administer and sustain server environments, including both Windows and Linux platforms, to ensure peak performance and robust security measures.
  • Application Management: Oversee and support enterprise software applications across various platforms, including installation, updates, and troubleshooting.
  • User Administration: Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across multiple systems, ensuring appropriate resource allocation for all users.
  • Security Implementation: Develop and enforce security protocols to safeguard IT assets and ensure adherence to industry regulations.
  • Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor system performance, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues to enhance reliability and efficiency.
  • Disaster Recovery Planning: Formulate, implement, and uphold backup and disaster recovery strategies, ensuring business continuity for critical systems and data.
  • Troubleshooting Expertise: Provide advanced troubleshooting for hardware, software, and system challenges, collaborating closely with help-desk personnel and end-users to swiftly resolve issues.
  • Patch Management: Oversee and deploy system updates and patches to maintain security and system integrity.
  • Documentation Practices: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides to foster continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Collaborative Efforts: Work in conjunction with other IT teams, including network, security, and application teams, to ensure seamless integration and operation of systems and services.
  • Project Leadership: Lead and engage in IT projects related to system upgrades, migrations, and the deployment of innovative technologies, ensuring timely and successful execution.
  • User Training: Provide training and guidance to end-users and junior IT staff on system usage and best practices.

Candidate Profile: Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Demonstrated experience as an IT Systems Administrator or in a comparable role, with a solid background in managing diverse IT systems.
  • Expertise in managing both Windows and Linux server environments.
  • Experience in enterprise software and application management, including installation, updates, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of security and compliance best practices, particularly in access control management and security updates.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively, with effective communication skills.
  • Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, or equivalent, are preferred.
  • Aptitude for managing multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time hybrid position.
