Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:

  • Guide a team of engineers and designers on intricate projects.
  • Foster a positive team culture and morale.
  • Collaborate with project management, vendors, and clients to address complex engineering challenges.
  • Engage in business development initiatives as necessary.
  • Review and create Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) alongside Process and Mechanical Engineers.
  • Identify and specify necessary instrumentation to support various processes.
  • Develop Instrument Data Sheets, panel layouts, and detailed designs.
  • Construct Sequences of Operation in collaboration with Process and Mechanical Engineers.
  • Ensure designs align with industry standards and client preferences.

Technical Expertise
The role requires proficiency in Controls/Systems Engineering, including:

  • DCS, PLC, MES, SCADA, and bus technologies.
  • Conducting quality assurance on deliverables and performing engineering studies.
  • Participating in construction services, including reviewing requests for information and submittals.
  • Developing operational tests and producing system documentation.

Qualifications
Applicants should possess:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Controls, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant engineering experience.
  • A strong desire to obtain professional licensure.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and International Building Codes (IBC) is preferred.
