Position Overview

LaBella Associates is in search of a Senior Electrical Engineer who possesses a robust background in Building Projects. This role will be based in our Albany, NY office and will require close collaboration with our engineering team to develop innovative concepts, strategies, designs, specifications, and comprehensive reports. The ideal candidate should be capable of working autonomously as well as within multi-disciplinary teams to produce high-quality electrical engineering documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with mechanical, civil, and structural engineers, as well as project architects.
  • Serve as the lead electrical engineer for multi-disciplinary projects, overseeing all phases including proposal, design, bidding, and construction.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure compliance.
  • Assign and supervise project tasks for junior team members.
  • Engage in meetings with both internal and external clients.
  • Perform building condition assessments and prepare detailed reports.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in an A/E consulting environment is essential.
  • Possession of a New York State Professional Engineer's license is preferred.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit software is advantageous.
  • Experience with electrical distribution systems, power and lighting design, utilities, as well as communications, security, and fire alarm systems is highly desirable.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit for extended periods.
  • Proficient in using a computer and keyboard.
  • Capability to traverse uneven and steep terrain.
  • Engage in standing, walking, and sitting for prolonged durations.
Compensation

The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $130,000. The specific salary offered will be influenced by various factors including the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
