Position Overview

The Cybersecurity Red Team Specialist will play a crucial role in conducting Red Team evaluations aimed at enhancing the security framework of LevelUP HCS. This position involves planning and executing Red/Purple Team operations, penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and control validations. The specialist will operate under established Red Team protocols to uncover vulnerabilities within the organizational environment.

Key Responsibilities

Red Team Operations

  • Conduct comprehensive Red Team operations, including scope definition, strategic planning, execution, data gathering, reporting, and support for remediation efforts.
  • Perform risk evaluations on identified vulnerabilities and generate reports to guide necessary mitigations and enhancements to the security posture.
  • Implement and adhere to the BBH Red Team Operating Standards and conditional Rules of Engagement, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Facilitate collaboration and present findings to security architecture, development, network, server, and web teams to address security weaknesses and provide recommendations for threat prevention and detection. Oversee the resolution of vulnerabilities in conjunction with application and system owners, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Engage in Cyber Tabletop Exercises as a subject matter expert on adversary behavior, intent, and tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).

Technical Oversight

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of adversary Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) to effectively simulate adversary actions during Red Team engagements.
  • Advise on and manage configurations for Red Team tools and attack simulation software.
  • Assist in the execution of external penetration testing to evaluate the organization's cybersecurity posture.

Qualifications

Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in at least four of the following domains:

  • Red Team Operations and Penetration Testing
  • Network Security Assessments
  • Web Application Vulnerability Analysis
  • Designing and Implementing Red Team Security Measures
  • Offensive Security Practices
  • Malware Analysis and Remediation
  • Security Incident Response

Knowledge & Skills

  • Proficient in security assessment methodologies, vulnerability management, OWASP standards, and CVE classifications.
  • Experience with Red Team tools and attack simulation platforms.
  • Ability to analyze web and application server logs to detect vulnerabilities.
  • Proficient in scripting or coding to develop attack scenarios.
  • Knowledgeable in assessing the severity of vulnerabilities.
  • Experience in preparing detailed Red Team reports.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity forensics is advantageous.

Certifications and Requirements

  • Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) certification is required.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification is a plus.
  • Network+ certification is also a plus.

Additional Information

Availability for after-hours and weekend work is required.
