ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Transportation Case Aid is responsible for facilitating the movement of youth and families to and from the LYNC program. This role primarily involves group travel arrangements or coordinating pickups for multiple individuals heading to a shared destination. The Transportation Case Aid is essential in promoting engagement, attendance, and successful program completion for families who may lack reliable transportation options.
- Facilitates transport for youth and families to and from the program.
- Primarily manages transportation logistics for group travel or coordinated pickups.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills to engage and motivate program participants.
- Possesses the ability to learn and understand the skills being imparted to program participants, ensuring effective communication during transport.
- Adheres to all traffic laws and operates vehicles safely and courteously.
- Implements safety protocols as youth and families enter and exit the vehicle.
- Maintains order among passengers to ensure a safe travel environment.
- Keeps a detailed log of vehicle mileage.
- Ensures regular maintenance of the vehicle.
- Conducts weekly inspections of the vehicle for damage, mechanical issues, and cleanliness.
- Reports any vehicle damages or mechanical concerns in accordance with agency policies.
- Manages gas card usage and maintains receipts.
- Focuses on Client Needs: Anticipates and responds to the needs of clients to meet or exceed expectations within program guidelines.
- Communicates and collaborates respectfully with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Encourages Teamwork: Works effectively with others to set objectives, resolve issues, and enhance program success.
- Maintains regular and consistent attendance.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION:
- Monday to Thursday: 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM
- Flexible hours on Fridays
- Additional hours may be available based on participant needs
- Hourly wage: $17.33
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in transporting children or youth.
- Familiarity with the Juvenile Justice System is a plus.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
