Recovery Support Specialist

Wellmore Behavioral Health is seeking a skilled Recovery Support Specialist to join our team at the Morris Recovery House and Therapeutic Shelter Program for Men in Waterbury. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in counseling or a related field and be able to provide support and supervision to clients in a therapeutic setting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop positive working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, and members of the clinical team.
* Facilitate assigned educational groups and community meetings.
* Supervise visiting hours and model appropriate professional behavior.
* Collect and administer urinalysis and breathalyzer tests.
* Supervise meal and snack times and assist with meal preparation as needed.
Requirements:
* Minimum 2 years of college in counseling or a related field.
* Knowledge of the recovery process is helpful and preferred.
* Experience in a similar setting is desirable.
* Ability to climb 4-5 flights of stairs in the homes.
* Good computer skills and ability to maintain client confidentiality.
* Valid driver's license and auto insurance required.
Pay Rate:
$15.50 per hour
