Automotive Support Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Support Specialist to join our team at Durham School Services. As an Automotive Support Specialist, you will provide critical support to our Maintenance Department and Technicians, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to the Maintenance Department and Technicians in accordance with established schedules.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, identifying and reporting any unsafe practices or conditions to the supervisor.
- Record time and materials used for each assignment.
- Provide automotive repair and maintenance assistance to technical staff as assigned.
- Exhibit the highest ethical best practices and personal integrity, reporting any suspicious or inappropriate behavior to the supervisor or manager.
Requirements
- Interest in the automotive industry.
- Knowledge of requirements related to safe working practices and conditions, and maintenance of a safe work environment.
- Basic knowledge of information technology and software programs to enter data and retrieve work orders.
- Valid appropriate licenses and/or certification required to operate company vehicles in the assigned location.
