Business Application Support Specialist

The State of Vermont is seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated individual to fill the role of Business Application Support Specialist. This position provides first-level support for systems that support the operations of the department, including evaluating and prioritizing requests, determining appropriate actions, and providing resolutions.
This role requires excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, a keen eye for detail, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively. Strong written and verbal communication skills, proficiency with the Microsoft 365 Suite, and the ability to work collaboratively are essential.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of enterprise application systems and be able to administer and manage Active Directory services, troubleshoot network-related issues, and create reports related to user-level access and utilization.
This position will require frequent travel to correctional facilities and the ability to work in a standard office setting. Private means of transportation should be available for required travel.
