Position Overview:

The role of Senior Commercial Finance Manager is pivotal within the EXEC team of the America Travel Retail division. As a vital business ally, you will significantly influence the financial prosperity of the organization by delivering strategic financial evaluations and insights. Your main responsibility will be to oversee and manage the financial operations and performance related to the company's commercial endeavors.

Key Objectives:

  • Enhance financial performance by identifying growth avenues and supporting informed decision-making.
  • Provide comprehensive business updates and financial analyses to guide strategic initiatives.

Core Responsibilities:

Financial Analysis and Reporting:

  • Perform in-depth financial evaluations to assess the performance of commercial operations, recognizing trends and delivering insights to senior leadership.
  • Generate and present financial reports and forecasts to aid in business planning and strategic decision-making.
  • Track essential financial indicators, including revenue, profitability, and cost management, offering suggestions for enhancements.

Strategic Business Partnership:

  • Collaborate with diverse teams, such as sales, marketing, and operations, to support commercial strategies and foster business growth.
  • Offer financial insights and guidance for new product introductions, pricing models, and market expansion strategies.
  • Engage in strategic planning processes, contributing financial perspectives to the formulation of business strategies and objectives.

Financial Planning and Forecasting:

  • Lead the rolling forecast process for commercial initiatives, partnering closely with business leaders to establish realistic and attainable goals.
  • Monitor actual financial performance against forecasted targets, identifying discrepancies and implementing corrective measures as needed.

Risk Assessment:

  • Analyze potential financial risks and opportunities, providing strategic recommendations to senior management.
  • Work with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, adhering to accounting standards.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, offering guidance, coaching, and performance evaluations.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team, promoting knowledge sharing.

Project Involvement:

  • Support various global and local projects, including IT initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting within a commercial finance context.
  • Exceptional analytical capabilities, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and derive actionable insights.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying financial information to non-financial stakeholders effectively.
  • Solid business acumen and strategic thinking, contributing to overarching business strategies.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools, alongside advanced skills in MS Excel and related financial software.
  • Robust leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on motivating and developing team members.
