Role Summary

As an Advanced Practice Care Provider, your role will be to deliver comprehensive, high-quality, and efficient care to patients and their families. You will engage in patient medical management to achieve or maintain optimal health, manage chronic conditions, and reduce health risks. Under the supervision of a physician, you will participate in healthcare decision-making for individuals and families, following established Physician Supervising Protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct Addiction Medicine Evaluations, including various assessments and the development of treatment plans.
  • Perform physical examinations as needed and interpret diagnostic studies and laboratory results to evaluate and treat patients.
  • Prescribe and administer medical treatments in collaboration with a designated physician.
  • Provide psychiatric interventions and education to patients, families, staff, and students as necessary.
  • Engage in research initiatives to enhance clinical practice and improve healthcare outcomes.
  • Offer consultation to healthcare providers and actively pursue resources for ongoing professional development.
  • Participate in at least one weekend on-call duty each month.

Qualifications

  • Valid Physician Assistant license is required, with certification in accordance with state regulations.
  • Experience in addiction or psychiatric fields is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills are essential.
