Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or General Surgery Physician Assistant to join our team at Hartford HealthCare Medical Group. As a member of our ambulatory care team, you will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Manage patient care in an ambulatory setting, including new patient consults, short and long-term post-operative follow-up, inpatient transition of care rounding, and coordination of patient care across multiple disciplines.
- Perform in-office procedures, including skin and soft tissue mass excisions, incision and drainages, and complex wound care.
- Assist with system quality initiatives and participate in ongoing educational opportunities to stay up-to-date with the latest medical technologies and techniques.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited APRN or Physician Assistant Master's program.
- Licensed or eligible to be licensed as an APRN or Physician Assistant in the state of Connecticut.
- Certification or eligibility for certification as an APRN or Physician Assistant.
- Previous surgical experience in plastics, general, or colorectal surgery preferred.
