Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or General Surgery Physician Assistant to join our team at Hartford HealthCare Medical Group. As a member of our ambulatory care team, you will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Manage patient care in an ambulatory setting, including new patient consults, short and long-term post-operative follow-up, inpatient transition of care rounding, and coordination of patient care across multiple disciplines.
- Perform in-office procedures, including skin and soft tissue mass excisions, incision and drainages, and complex wound care.
- Assist with system quality initiatives and participate in ongoing educational opportunities to ensure you're always practicing with the most cutting-edge technology.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop long-term relationships with patients and their families across the continuum of care.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (APRN) Master's program.
- Licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (APRN) in the state of Connecticut.
- Certification or eligible to be certified as a Physician Assistant, or National Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (APRN).
- Previous surgical experience in plastics, general, or colorectal surgery preferred.
