Responsibilities:
  • Patient Care:
    • Room patients, review medical history, and prepare charts for visits
    • Observe patient condition and communicate with providers
    • Assist with minor surgical procedures and perform EKGs
    • Administer medications and vaccines (if applicable)
  • Clerical and Administrative:
    • Respond to patient calls, manage work queues, and resolve issues
    • Scanning documents, completing medical forms, and sending patient correspondence
    • Ordering supplies and generating front-end reports
  • Environmental and Safety:
    • Adhere to infection control policies and dispose of infectious waste
    • Clean and disinfect equipment and instruments
    • Maintain a safe environment and protect patients from injury
Requirements:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
  • MA certification (within 90 days of hire, if applicable)
  • High school diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of medical office experience, or 4 years of customer service experience
  • Associate's degree preferred, or 7+ years of experience working as an MA
