Position Overview: Senior Commercial Insurance Account Executive

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and maintain a substantial portfolio of clients by delivering exceptional customer service, implementing a proactive renewal strategy, negotiating with insurance carriers and underwriters, leveraging internal resources, and collaborating with various internal teams.
- Conduct thorough exposure assessments, coverage coordination, program design, and review of existing accounts to identify and rectify any shortcomings.
- Provide clear and accurate responses to client inquiries regarding insurance coverage and advise on any uncovered risks as necessary.
- Prepare and analyze exposure comparisons, premium assessments, and renewal proposals.
- Engage directly with clients, underwriters, departmental leaders, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Compile detailed and comprehensive submissions for incumbent carriers and the placement team.
- Negotiate terms and conditions of insurance plans.
- Develop and present tailored renewal strategies and marketing initiatives.
- Work towards increasing revenue by cross-selling and expanding account services.
- Assist in resolving disputes related to premium audits.
- Conduct contract reviews as required.
- Understand and adhere to internal timelines, protocols, and workflows.
- Guide and manage the assigned assistant account manager in daily servicing tasks, including the issuance of certificates, auto ID cards, processing endorsement requests, policy verification, invoicing, and billing inquiries.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
- Property & Casualty Insurance License.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial insurance, ideally within a retail insurance agency.
- Proactive mindset with a strong sense of urgency.
- Excellent relationship management skills with clients, comfortable leading meetings and maintaining clear, professional communication.
- Familiarity with Applied EPIC software.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Data-driven with a strong analytical orientation.
- Proficient in utilizing various technology tools in a fast-paced environment.
