Position Overview: Senior Commercial Insurance Account Executive

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and maintain a substantial portfolio of clients by delivering exceptional customer service, implementing a proactive renewal strategy, negotiating with insurance carriers and underwriters, leveraging internal resources, and collaborating with various internal teams.
  • Conduct exposure assessments, coordinate coverage options, design insurance programs, and evaluate current accounts to identify and rectify any gaps.
  • Provide accurate and confident responses to client inquiries regarding insurance coverage and advise on any uncovered risks as necessary.
  • Analyze and prepare comparisons of exposures, premiums, and renewal proposals.
  • Engage directly with clients, underwriters, departmental leaders, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare detailed and comprehensive submissions for existing carriers and the placement team.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions of insurance plans.
  • Develop and present tailored renewal strategies and marketing initiatives.
  • Work to enhance revenue by cross-selling and expanding account coverage.
  • Assist in resolving disputes related to premium audits.
  • Conduct contract reviews as required.
  • Understand and adhere to internal timelines, protocols, and workflows.
  • Guide and direct the assigned assistant account manager in daily servicing tasks, including issuing certificates, processing endorsement requests, policy verification, invoicing, and addressing billing issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Possession of a Property & Casualty Insurance License.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial insurance, ideally within a retail insurance agency.
  • Proactive mindset with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Emphasis on relationship management with clients, comfortable leading meetings with clients and carriers, and maintaining clear, professional communication both verbally and in writing.
  • Familiarity with Applied EPIC software.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Data-driven and analytical mindset.
  • Proficient in utilizing various technology tools in a fast-paced environment.
