Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Account Executive Lead to join our team at Alliant Insurance Services. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing client relationships, developing new business opportunities, and supporting the performance development of departmental staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage overall client relationships to maintain high account retention rates
  • Solicit new accounts through direct selling and cold calling
  • Responsible for renewal process on existing business
  • Evaluate assigned client coverage portfolios to implement cross-selling opportunities and solicit additional lines of coverage
  • Service accounts and provide claims assistance as needed
  • Analyze exposure bases to identify program deficiencies and develop proper marketing strategies
  • Complete applications, obtain quotes, negotiate premiums, develop coverage comparisons, and prepare proposals and presentations
  • Bind coverage, prepare binders, and delegate certificates
  • Review coverage and determine appropriate levels of coverage
  • Meet with clients as needed or directed by producers
  • Review accounting histories, respond to accounting inquiries, correct discrepancies, and contact clients on receivable collections
  • Serve as technical experts, assisting department members to resolve complex issues
  • Provide mentoring and coaching to departmental staff in concert with Unit Managers
  • Create motivational action plans for personnel development in conjunction with defined performance goals created by Unit Managers
  • Supplement Unit Managers' oversight in compliance with Corporate procedural guidelines
  • Collect fees, reconcile, and resolve any outstanding balances within 90 days of invoicing dates
  • Comply with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enter and maintain complete and accurate information)
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ten (10) or more years related work experience
  • Valid insurance license
  • Must continue to meet Continuing Education requirements for license renewal
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good problem-solving and time management skills
  • Ability to work within a team and to foster teamwork
  • Good planning, organizational, and prioritization skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
