Position Overview:

We are in search of an Artificial Intelligence Solutions Engineer who possesses expertise in Optical Character Recognition (OCR), Natural Language Processing (NLP), Large Language Models (LLMs), and other advanced deep learning frameworks. The ideal candidate will have a track record of integrating these technologies into solutions aimed at Intelligent Document Processing (IDP). A successful applicant should demonstrate technical proficiency with the aforementioned Machine Learning tools and possess a proven history of engineering software solutions to manage and analyze unstructured data sets. Effective communication skills are essential, enabling clear interactions with both technical engineers and non-technical team members, including project managers and executive teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Guide product decisions by applying technical expertise in IDP and Generative AI solution architectures and best practices.
  • Propose innovative ideas to support data-driven product development.
  • Write code for IDP applications using preferred programming languages to meet client specifications.
  • Utilize LLMs and other Generative AI/Deep Learning algorithms to deliver unique solutions for our clients.
  • Contribute to interdisciplinary projects that merge data engineering with Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning to integrate predictive models.
  • Collaborate within a growing engineering team to provide software and systems solutions across various customers and projects.
  • Work alongside Engineering Team Leads and team members to design and implement solutions that surpass customer expectations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of professional, hands-on experience in a Machine Learning engineering role, particularly related to IDP.
  • Technical proficiency in Intelligent Document Processing (including OCR/NLP algorithms), Generative AI, and Deep Learning algorithms, along with relevant technologies, programming languages, and system architectures.
  • A well-rounded individual eager to learn and contribute meaningfully across all technical aspects of our projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating ideas clearly and succinctly in both written and oral formats.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and organized.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with AWS (Amazon Web Services) and/or Microsoft Azure; certifications are a plus.
  • Understanding of Agile Scrum methodology.
  • Experience with JIRA/Confluence.
  • Proficiency in SQL, C#.
  • Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases such as MongoDB, Python.
  • Experience with Docker and CI/CD automation is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor junior developers.

Clearance Requirements:

U.S. Citizenship with the capability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret clearance.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $140,000. This range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, the salary will be determined based on experience, geographic location, and potentially contractual requirements, and may fall outside of this range.
