Academic Success Coordinator

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized academic guidance for participants focusing on college adaptation and course selection; Facilitate and manage small group workshops on specific academic support themes for participants; Formulate graduation strategies for students in alignment with FSU academic regulations, student needs assessments, and academic records. Collaborate with the Student Persistence Specialist on the Academic Improvement Plan (AIP) process for students facing academic challenges; Track and document student advising attendance both internally and externally; Oversee student course registration and provide timely notifications to staff regarding students who are not enrolled.
- Establish and sustain a peer study group network; assist with mid-semester academic progress reporting, and maintain student records; Aid in connecting students to individual and group tutoring opportunities and generate reports on student engagement; organize cultural and educational excursions, graduate school tours, and wellness workshops.
- Support recruitment initiatives to identify qualified students for program participation.
- Assist in data collection, analysis, and evaluation to assess program effectiveness and development. Responsible for managing student database information. Contribute to the completion of the Annual Performance Report.
- Participate in training sessions to remain informed about current practices, compliance with federal regulations, and effective program implementation.
- A Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent combined with six years of experience. (Note: a combination of post-secondary education and experience totaling six years is acceptable.)
- A valid State of Florida or Georgia Driver's License or the ability to obtain one prior to employment.
