Position Title: Senior IT Project Coordinator

Project Overview:

The Senior IT Project Coordinator will act as the primary communication conduit for the project team. This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and oversee resource-allocated and balanced project plans.
  • Track project metrics in line with predefined standards.
  • Establish performance metrics for resources.
  • Act as a liaison with stakeholders.
  • Provide proactive leadership for intricate projects.
  • Deliver project status updates to both internal and external stakeholders, including executive management.
  • Manage financial plans and resources for related projects.
  • Ensure all project documentation adheres to Program Management Office (PMO) standards and relevant compliance regulations.
  • Facilitate business requirement gathering sessions.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, stakeholders, and IT developers to document business needs.
  • Coordinate and produce As-Is, To-Be, and other necessary business analysis documentation.
  • Lead the implementation of business process enhancement recommendations.
  • Adhere to established practices that guarantee the integrity and quality of project documentation.
  • Manage the expectations of various stakeholders and provide regular updates to executives.
  • Create Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) templates.
  • Work autonomously as part of a larger, cross-functional team.

Required Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited institution. Relevant experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • A minimum of five years of experience establishing and managing a project management office.
  • Five years of experience leading successful, large-scale projects involving diverse teams.
  • Five years of experience utilizing project management software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, or Jira.
  • Five years of experience developing and maintaining comprehensive project plans and schedules.
  • Five years of experience with PMO methodologies and documentation.
  • Five years of experience in meeting facilitation and documentation.
  • Five years of experience creating and presenting status reports.
  • Five years of experience in risk and issue management.
  • Proven ability to deliver project outcomes within defined scope, schedule, budget, and quality constraints.
  • Strong coordination skills to manage multiple project teams effectively.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience in creating presentations for stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership and negotiation skills.
  • Successful completion of a Level II Background Check is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Agile or Scrum-based Project Management.
  • IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Service Management Foundations Certification.
  • Experience managing projects with a large, distributed user base.
  • Experience managing waterfall projects.
  • Experience with state government projects.
  • Experience ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Experience collaborating with technical programming teams.
  • Proactive problem-solving attitude.
  • Strong negotiation, mediation, facilitation, and team-building skills.
  • Knowledge of IT standards in various environments.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and projects.
  • Knowledge in additional IT areas such as programming and data analytics.
  • A collaborative team player with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and thrive in a dynamic environment.
