Key Responsibilities
The ITS Project Management Office (PMO) oversees the execution of projects and initiatives that significantly impact the campus community.
The PMO provides administration, consultation, and training on Project and Portfolio Management tools, maintains project management methodologies and templates, and offers advisory services to campus collaborators on best practices.
The IT Program Coordinator manages intricate or specialized projects and tailors project management methodologies to ensure the effective completion of initiatives within the ITS project portfolio.
This role will also assist the central PMO team in crafting technical program/project management best practices/templates and delivering training/mentoring to project teams while acting as a liaison between the central ITS PMO, other ITS divisions, and campus collaborators.
Manages intricate or specialized projects and customizes project management methodologies to guarantee the successful completion of initiatives within the ITS project portfolio; articulates IT project outcomes and deliverables in alignment with strategic University objectives to emphasize ITS contributions to enhancing business value.
Utilizes Project and Portfolio Management tools to monitor and report on project progress.Engages in the Project Management Office initiative to improve project manager performance through peer collaboration.
Employs the PPM/ITSM platform to generate executive-level reports regarding the ITS project portfolio, associated resource allocations, project risks and constraints, lessons learned, and stakeholder satisfaction.
Provides training and support to PMO project managers.Collaborates with project managers to ensure that high-impact / high-risk IT projects are delivered within defined scope, quality, time, and budget constraints.
Coordinates project-related communications with the ITS Marketing Communications Manager to promote effective internal communication methods regarding reports, events, and changes affecting the PPM Program.
Performs duties in accordance with ITS policies, guidelines, and processes related to support requests, work orders, project management, change management, and incident management.
Appropriately utilizes associated tools in compliance with ITS standards. Other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and four years of relevant experience or a high school diploma or equivalent and eight years of experience
(Note:
or a combination of relevant post-high school education and experience equating to eight years).
A valid Florida or Georgia driver's license or the ability to obtain one.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Capability to develop and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Skill in evaluating process effectiveness and proposing changes or alternatives.
Competence in gathering, interpreting, reporting, and/or editing information.
Ability to strategically plan and act as a catalyst for organizational change, fostering a shared vision with others, and motivating teams to translate vision into action.
Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply relevant federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations.Familiarity with and the ability to interpret and apply relevant University policies, procedures, principles, and practices.
Proficiency in applicable computer applications and basic computer functions.
Understanding of the principles and practices of project planning, development, and evaluation.
Skill in preparing clear and concise reports, policies, procedures, correspondence, and other written materials.
