Position Summary:

Are you driven by results and possess a competitive spirit to solve problems and develop innovative strategies to enhance sales effectiveness? The Technical Sales Specialist is tasked with cultivating and overseeing the designated sales territory to meet order volume and profitability objectives within the restaurant and industrial kitchen ventilation sectors.

A passion for establishing and nurturing relationships with various stakeholders, including owners, national accounts, mechanical contractors, engineers, consultants, and food service equipment contractors, is essential for understanding the broader vision and advancing your career with The Greenheck Group.

We seek an individual who is motivated to successfully close sales, eager to exceed established sales targets, and continuously on the lookout for new selling opportunities.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote and market HVAC and commercial kitchen ventilation equipment to food service equipment dealers and national chain accounts.
  • Provide technical and application support to food service consultants to influence their design and specification choices.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to enhance sales performance.
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities while maintaining and expanding existing partnerships.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through proactive engagement and relationship building.
  • Facilitate successful collaboration by showcasing the capabilities of The Greenheck Group's products and services.
  • Assist in negotiating contract terms with clients effectively.
  • Explore opportunities to introduce additional products to existing customers to enhance the value of vendor relationships.
  • Encourage facility visits with strategically important clients and partners.
  • Participate in trade shows, product exhibitions, and industry events to stay informed about market trends and developments.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, sales, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience is preferred.

• A professional background in mechanical engineering or outside sales is desirable.

• Candidates with technical expertise but limited sales experience will receive training from an experienced Account Manager.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.

• Ability to work independently with a high degree of autonomy.

• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar software is a plus.

• Strong analytical skills are required.

• HVAC experience is preferred.


Sales Territory:

This position covers a designated sales territory, allowing for flexibility in location. You will primarily operate from a home office with occasional travel required within the territory.

Account Managers receive a base salary plus commission, with the base salary starting at $80,000 per year. Commission is based on sales within the territory, with no cap on earnings. Total compensation for the first year is estimated between $100,000 - $110,000.
