About the Role

Preston Refrigeration is seeking a highly skilled Executive Vice President of Sales and Engineering to lead project development and drive company success. This role involves developing winning proposals, engaging with clients, leading engineering efforts, collaborating across teams, strengthening vendor relationships, providing technical expertise, mentoring future leaders, and delivering value-added solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and present compelling sales and engineering proposals that address customer needs while maximizing value.
  • Analyze customer engineering requirements, consult on solutions, and build long-term relationships that promote trust and loyalty.
  • Design complex ammonia-based refrigeration systems for manufacturing and industrial facilities, applying your technical and practical knowledge.
  • Partner with Project Managers to align strategic approaches and ensure seamless project execution.
  • Develop and maintain connections with key manufacturers and vendors to secure favorable product quotes and enhance solutions.
  • Interpret customer specifications and ensure engineering technical needs are met while adhering to local and federal regulations.
  • Mentor junior engineers and interns to build a strong pipeline of talent.
  • Identify opportunities to expand beyond initial customer requests, offering additional Preston services, such as parts or maintenance.
  • Engage in face-to-face customer interactions across the U.S. to support sales activities and ensure project success.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a minimum of 10 years of industrial refrigeration sales and engineering experience.
  • Strong knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems.
  • A proven self-starter with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals.
  • The ability to identify potential sales opportunities beyond the customer's initial request.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage relationships, perceptions, and expectations.
  • Capable of thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to foster relationships and close deals
