Overview :

This pivotal IT position is tasked with guiding decisions and configurations for the integration of Materials Management (MM) and Production Planning (PP) within SAP. The role encompasses support for daily MM/PP stakeholders across Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, and Manufacturing. Collaborating with other SAP Functional Analysts, developers, IT leadership, and business teams is essential to comprehend, prioritize, and develop solutions that align with business needs.

Responsibilities include reviewing, analyzing, and assessing user requirements to formulate system solutions that bolster overarching business strategies. The position entails documenting system requirements, defining project scope and objectives, and crafting system specifications that facilitate system development and deployment. Engaging with operations leaders to pinpoint technological roadmaps and propose ongoing improvement initiatives in MM/PP, Quality, and additional domains is also crucial.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct prototypes, develop functional specifications, and manage data and functional mapping, along with configuring tables and transaction/control tables within the SAP system and other business systems.
  • Collaborate with the SAP development team and Power BI/Microsoft development team to ensure systems meet the functional specifications.
  • Identify and address gaps in business processes while integrating new systems and workflows with existing operations.
  • Participate in security and authorization setups, user documentation, data interface design, data migration, and reconciliation efforts.
  • Engage in the installation and optimization of modifications, as well as data archiving tasks.
  • Handle multiple functional tasks that typically involve medium technological complexity.
  • Contribute as a team member on various projects.
  • Communicate and coordinate effectively with other team leads, business units, and IT management.
  • Train users on new functionalities.
  • Serve as a credible representative for business functions/processes, leading initiatives to drive change.
  • Influence business leadership and management in decisions aimed at enhancing and transforming business processes.
  • Proactively identify and resolve complex business challenges.
  • Determine optimal solution fits for the business.
  • Act as an IT liaison with software solution vendors.

    • Educational Background:
    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Disciplines, or a related field, with knowledge of SAP ECC or S/4 Hana.
    • Experience Background:
    • 1-3 years of experience in analyzing and gathering requirements to create user system solutions.
    • 1-3 years of experience across multiple SAP modules (MM, PP, FI, CO, SD, etc.).
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint integration with SAP is advantageous.
    • Experience with SAP implementation is a plus.
    • 1-3 years of configuration/business experience.

  • In-depth understanding of data analysis, database development, and reporting applications.
  • Comprehensive understanding of business processes and workflows to facilitate the analysis of business requirements and the development of effective solutions.
  • Possess a deep understanding of the business strategy within a specific function/process area and assist in driving business strategy development.
  • Demonstrate initiative and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with proficient computer skills, are essential.
  • Basic programming skills in relevant languages to develop necessary "workarounds" and SAP queries.
