About the Role

The Meta Reality Labs (RL) Accounting Team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Operations Manager to join their team. As a key member of the RL Accounting Team, you will partner cross-functionally with Reality Labs Research, Manufacturing Supply Chain, Technical Accounting, and Finance to support new business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and Oversee Global End-to-End Accounting Flows: Develop and maintain processes around cost accounting methods, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
  • Partner with Cross-Functional Teams: Provide required accounting guidance and support decision-making for Opex, working closely with Reality Labs business partners.
  • Develop and Maintain Processes: Create and implement processes that scale, ensuring efficient and effective accounting operations.
  • Review Contracts: Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies, documenting technical accounting positions on significant multiple element business arrangements.
  • Assist with Month-End Close Procedures: Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and other duties as necessary, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Fulfill Internal and External Audit Requests: Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with Quarterly Reporting Packages: Prepare and present financial reports to management, highlighting key trends and insights.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance: A degree in accounting or finance is required, with a strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls.
  • 7+ Years of Experience in Accounting or Finance: A minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a proven track record of implementing and improving business processes and systems.
  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and Internal Controls: A strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls, with experience implementing and improving business processes and systems.
  • Highly Collaborative Temperament: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Lab Equipment, Manufacturing, Hardware Industry Experience: Experience working in the lab equipment, manufacturing, or hardware industry, with a strong understanding of Opex accounting.
  • CPA or Equivalent Qualification: A CPA or equivalent qualification, with experience working in public accounting or industry.
  • Public Accounting Experience: Experience working in public accounting, with a strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls.
  • Experience with Oracle Financials and Hyperion: Experience working with Oracle Financials and Hyperion, with a strong understanding of financial systems and processes.
  • Experience Partnering with Operations, Business Partners, and Financial Planning Teams: Experience working with operations, business partners, and financial planning teams, with a strong understanding of business processes and systems.
