The Staff Accountant will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the accounting team. The primary responsibilities of this position include:

  • Financial Transaction Processing: Accurately process daily financial transactions and manage the posting process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Handle accounts payable and receivable, including the timely processing of invoices and payments, to maintain a smooth cash flow.
  • Financial Reporting: Create month-end and quarterly statements and reports to provide insights into the company's financial performance.
  • Financial Analysis: Ensure ledgers are balanced and reconciled on a regular basis to identify any discrepancies or errors.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist with budget preparation and monitor expenses in relation to budgeted amounts to ensure the company is on track to meet its financial goals.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Demonstrated experience as a Staff Accountant, with practical knowledge of Yardi.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Systems: Yardi, Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
  • Solid organizational and time management abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
