ROLE OVERVIEW: This position is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of multiple entities within the healthcare and real estate sectors. Key responsibilities include establishing and upholding accounting principles, practices, and internal controls. The role involves managing the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP, handling inter-company transactions, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Compliance:
  • Interpret and manage contracts impacting financial data recording.
  • Ensure adherence to GAAP and relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with leadership on contract implementation and compliance issues.
  • Research and document positions on tax and GAAP interpretations.
  • Oversee timely and accurate tax work papers and payments.
Internal Controls:
  • Develop and maintain internal controls within the accounting department.
  • Ensure safeguarding of assets and proper system access.
  • Document policies and procedures to support internal controls.
Leadership:
  • Align departmental priorities with organizational goals.
  • Foster a collaborative and motivating team environment.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top talent.

Accounting Operations:
  • Ensure financial statements are issued in compliance with GAAP.
  • Manage the recording of investments and stock records.
  • Oversee the accuracy of payments and financial reporting.
  • Maintain best practices and internal controls in accounting.
Payroll Management:
  • Establish and implement payroll policies ensuring compliance.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure timely payroll processing.
  • Maintain best practices in payroll operations.
Audit Coordination:
  • Manage all financial audits with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure audits are completed accurately and timely.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. Minimum of seven years of accounting experience, including four years in a supervisory role. Experience in contract management, internal controls, tax compliance, and payroll management is essential.

Preferred: Experience in healthcare accounting and familiarity with financial systems such as ADP and Oracle is highly desirable.

Certification:

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is required.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Access and Excel.
