Position Summary:
The Senior Financial Reporting Accountant is essential in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial reports across various business sectors, including digital marketing and manufacturing. This role is vital for both internal and external reporting, ensuring compliance with financial covenants, and supporting tax-related accounting functions. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of manufacturing processes, digital marketing, inventory management, and compliance with audit and controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and execute financial consolidations for multiple business entities on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, ensuring adherence to company policies and GAAP.
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant accounting standards and company policies.
  • Provide detailed variance analysis and articulate explanations of consolidated financial outcomes.
  • Coordinate and support all audit processes, including external audits, ensuring thorough documentation and a seamless experience.
  • Prepare and monitor financial covenant compliance reports as required by lenders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Review reconciliations and maintain precise financial records.
  • Assist in the preparation of tax provisions and support tax compliance initiatives.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of all necessary documents.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting.
  • Stay updated on accounting standards and industry best practices, providing valuable recommendations for company adoption.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, sales, and marketing, to provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making.
  • Mentor and develop junior accounting staff to promote their professional growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA designation preferred.
  • 5-7 years of accounting experience, with a focus on financial reporting and consolidations.
  • Experience in the manufacturing or marketing sectors is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Exceptional communication, analytical, and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience in the omnichannel marketing industry is preferred.
  • Familiarity with US GAAP compliance and tax accounting is advantageous.
