Our client, a prominent player in the beauty and retail industry, is seeking a contract Product Owner for Business Intelligence Reporting to join their dynamic team. This role offers full-time hours and a hybrid work environment.

Overview:

The Product Owner for Business Intelligence Reporting will spearhead a cross-functional agile development team, focusing on delivering innovative features and capabilities for Brand Partners within the brand media ecosystem.

In this position, you will play a crucial role in shaping and executing the product roadmap for all reporting solutions across owned and operated channels.

Your responsibilities will encompass the development of new reporting solutions as well as the enhancement and support of existing advertising products, aimed at driving increased ad expenditure and enhancing customer engagement.

These solutions typically involve data analytics tools, dashboards, and reporting data pipelines that empower stakeholders to make informed decisions based on data insights.

Responsibilities:

Product Strategy:

Collaborate with the Measurement Lead and Data/Reporting Products team to articulate a clear product vision and roadmap that aligns with business objectives and market trends.



Requirements Gathering:

Work closely with stakeholders, users, strategic analytics, and vendor partners to gather and prioritize requirements, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of Brand Partner needs and market opportunities.



  • Sprint Planning, Execution, and Demo: Engage in sprint planning sessions to define and commit to deliverables, consistently demonstrating product progress and delivery.

Backlog Management:
Maintain and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring it accurately reflects the most critical features and enhancements.

Performance Analysis:
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate product success and identify areas for enhancement.

Stakeholder Communication and Collaboration:
Serve as the primary liaison for stakeholders regarding reporting and measurement products.

Continuous Improvement:
Facilitate retrospectives and feedback sessions to enhance team processes, product quality, delivery efficiency, and user adoption.

Product Support:
Provide ongoing support and gather user feedback for continuous product improvement.

Innovation and Experimentation:
Cultivate a culture of innovation by promoting experimentation and the integration of new technologies and methodologies. Continuously seek input from users and stakeholders to drive product enhancement and innovation.

Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and visualize data to provide actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., SQL, GCP) and business intelligence software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data integration techniques.
  • Practical experience with reporting tools and software.
  • Bachelor's degree in analytics, marketing, information systems, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in reporting and measurement within marketing or a related industry.
  • 2+ years of experience in a retail media network, preferably for a consumer packaged goods retailer.
  • Experience and success working within an Agile framework.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and influence decision-making based on the audience and desired outcomes.
  • Proven experience in building strong partnerships across teams (e.g., Product, Data Engineering, Data Architecture, Analytics, Business Intelligence, and Development).
  • Excellent organizational and strategic planning abilities, with the capacity to prioritize and manage multiple large-scale initiatives simultaneously.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, navigate ambiguity, and maintain focus on execution.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Self-motivated and reliable, with a passion for driving innovation and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
