Overview
Oversee the financial and accounting systems and controls of the organization by establishing robust financial and accounting policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems; collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data; optimizing bank balances; evaluating and executing investments; and directing staff.
• Analyze financial reports, forecast cash flows, and devise innovative financial strategies to meet revenue targets.
• Evaluate the financial performance of the division against the organization's goals and objectives.
• Generate profit and loss statements and assess financial performance.
• Identify new market opportunities and formulate effective implementation plans.
• Propose various financial options to support business objectives.
• Develop forecasting models to ensure the achievement of revenue, gross profit, and depletion targets.
• Identify financial and competitive risks and formulate appropriate action plans.
• Lead the budget preparation process and manage expense initiatives.
• Establish accounting control parameters and recommend enhancements to existing control procedures.
Additional Primary Responsibilities
• Conduct month-end and quarter-end reconciliations and account closing processes.
• Prepare and distribute monthly Financial Statements and Analytical Reviews.
• Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts monthly to identify and resolve outstanding items.
• Analyze designated balance sheet and expense accounts within deadlines using financial statement reporting tools (e.g., Business Warehouse, TM1, Excel, etc.).
• Complete quarterly corporate schedules and manage interim and annual external audit schedules.
• Create monthly budget variance analyses.
• Reconcile physical inventory and cycle counts and complete gross profit reconciliations.
• Address any audit comments or suggestions upon audit completion.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree and seven years of experience or equivalent education and related experience.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in progressive Finance and/or Accounting roles, including 3 years of experience managing employees and supervisors.
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), internal controls, and financial reporting is required.
• Expertise in Forecasting, Staffing, Financial Planning and Strategy, Strategic Planning, Financial Diagnosis, and Quality Management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
Physical Demands
• Physical demands include significant time spent sitting and typing/keyboarding, utilizing a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor), or mobile device.
• Physical demands may occasionally involve walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping.
• May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs.
