Position Summary:
The Senior Financial Reporting Accountant is essential in ensuring the precision and reliability of financial reporting across various business units within our digital and manufacturing marketing sectors. This position is vital for both internal and external reporting, compliance with financial covenants, and supporting tax accounting functions. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing operations, digital marketing processes, inventory management, audit and compliance controls, and 401(k) compliance, all backed by strong accounting skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and execute financial consolidations for multiple business units on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, ensuring adherence to company policies and GAAP.
  • Maintain strict compliance with all relevant accounting standards and company policies.
  • Provide detailed variance analysis and clear explanations of consolidated financial outcomes.
  • Coordinate and support all audits, including external, 401(k), insurance, and financial statement audits, ensuring a smooth process with thorough and accurate documentation.
  • Prepare and monitor financial covenant compliance reports as required by lenders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Review reconciliations and maintain precise financial records.
  • Assist in the preparation of tax provisions and support tax compliance efforts.
  • Ensure accurate and timely filing of all necessary documents.
  • Focus on identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting.
  • Stay updated on accounting standards and industry best practices, providing valuable recommendations for company adoption.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, sales, and marketing, offering financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Mentor and guide junior accounting staff to foster their professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA designation preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience in accounting, focusing on financial reporting and consolidations.
  • Experience in the manufacturing or marketing industry is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Exceptional communication, analytical, and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in the omnichannel marketing industry preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with US GAAP, policy, and standard compliance preferred.
  • Working knowledge of tax accounting preferred.
