Position Summary:
As a Senior Systems Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for guiding, inspiring, and developing team members. You will set the strategic vision for the team, act as a technical point of escalation, and oversee the progress of projects within the team. Your role will involve collaborating with various sectors of information technology and business partners to ensure the stability, confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our enterprise IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Inspire and manage team dynamics.
  • Delegation: Assign responsibilities effectively to optimize team performance.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry standards, technologies, and methodologies.
  • Guidance: Provide direction and support to team members.
  • Project Oversight: Supervise and assist with team project initiatives.
  • Documentation: Develop standard operating procedures and necessary documentation.
  • Training: Deliver technical training sessions.
  • Meetings: Actively participate in relevant meetings.
  • Change Management: Engage in the change management process.
  • IT Assessments: Contribute to IT assessments.
  • Budgeting: Take part in the budget development process.
  • Data Center Operations: Conduct testing and maintenance of data center operations.
  • Incident Management: Assist with incident response and root cause analysis.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other assigned responsibilities.

Technical Support:

  • Manage deployments, configurations, and upgrades of systems.
  • Possess knowledge of hypervisors (Hyper-V & ESXI/V-Center).
  • Experience with management and migration from on-premises Exchange systems to Office365.
  • Deep understanding of Office365 management, including security practices and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Server Operating Systems from 2008 onward.
  • Experience with next-generation antivirus solutions.
  • Ability to design and implement enterprise-wide solutions.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot system health and performance.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation.
  • Conduct system updates, backups, and recovery testing.
  • Oversee desktop health and performance monitoring.
  • Manage configurations of storage area networks (SANS).

Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years of experience in server management and system administration.
  • 6-10 years of leadership experience in a team setting.
  • Experience in enterprise environments is essential.
  • Experience in the Senior Living or Healthcare sectors is advantageous.
  • Experience in migrating on-premises data centers to cloud solutions.

Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience in a related field.

Certifications:
Relevant certifications from recognized organizations, including Microsoft/Office365, VMWARE, Veeam, and security-related certifications are preferred.
