Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver subject-specific content with clarity and engagement.
  • Establish a robust classroom environment founded on respect, care, and high expectations, often utilizing a co-teaching approach.
  • Collaborate with grade-level and subject teams, as well as curriculum directors and school leaders, to design and implement high-quality instructional resources.
  • Create a safe, equitable, and inclusive educational atmosphere while applying evidence-based curricula and social-emotional strategies to support the holistic development of each child.
  • Utilize formative and summative assessments to identify student needs and develop action plans for success in partnership with grade-level and administrative teams.
  • Maintain effective communication with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Participate in essential school-wide events, including family engagement activities.
  • Engage in a comprehensive training program during the summer and partake in a year-long professional development series throughout the academic year.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to the mission, values, and educational philosophy of Community Group, Inc.
  • A Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • A valid teaching license from the relevant educational authority is preferred.
  • Previous experience working with school-aged children is advantageous.
  • Exhibit skills in collaborative planning and problem-solving.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Show flexibility, patience, and a sense of humor in the classroom.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of and experience with developmentally appropriate teaching strategies.
