Job Opportunity

At EVRAZ North America, we are seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join our team in Portland, OR. This dynamic role is a key stakeholder to multiple senior leaders, managers, and first-line leaders, requiring exceptional collaboration skills and a proven ability to build strong, productive relationships across the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with employees and management, exercising considerable judgment and discretion.
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Ensure the Human Resources functions' priorities and efforts are customer-centric and aligned to the execution of the business strategy.
  • Develop, manage, and enhance training and development programs, as well as other assigned programs.
  • Ensure transactional basics are functioning and delivering effective and efficient services.
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to management, including coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions.
  • Coach leaders at all levels to strengthen leadership capability and effectiveness.
  • Provide consultative support to management for the consistent and appropriate application of policies and procedures.
  • Maintain the highest level of integrity, professionalism, fairness, and confidentiality in all aspects of job performance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in human resources, business, organizational development, management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' progressive experience in Human Resources, with a preference for 7 years (with 5 in an HR Business Partner role).
  • Broad knowledge of human resources practices, including compensation, performance management, leadership development, employee relations, change management, and organizational development.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and proficiency in Excel.
  • Experience resolving complex employee relations matters and leading investigations.
  • Previous manufacturing industry experience is preferred.
  • Mature, collaborative, hands-on, and tactically focused professional.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and handle multiple highly sensitive issues simultaneously while managing competing priorities and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to develop a true HR Business Partner relationship.
