Position Overview:
The Manager of Medicare Coverage Analysis (MCA) is responsible for overseeing the FDA-mandated process of conducting coverage analyses for various types of clinical trials. This role involves utilizing local and national determinations as well as NCCN guidelines to ensure compliance and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of Coverage Analysts at FCCC, guiding them in the creation of MCAs.
- Collaborate with Principal Investigators to discuss and approve MCA designations for clinical trials.
- Provide training and support to Coverage Analysts, ensuring adherence to current guidelines and retrieval of necessary documentation.
- Conduct Medicare Coverage Analysis and assist in the clinical finance function, including the reconciliation of invoices and billing related to clinical trials.

Departmental Collaboration:
This position is situated within the Office of Research and Development Alliances under the Clinical Research Contracting department. The manager will work closely with the Office of Clinical Research, Investigators, and external Sponsors to ensure timely completion of analyses.

Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (Required)
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Master of Health Administration (MHA) (Preferred)
Note: A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years in a clinical setting, research, medical auditing, case management, healthcare insurance, or accounting (Required)
- At least 3 years in a management role (Required)
- 5 years of experience in a healthcare environment (Preferred)
- Familiarity with Medicare Coverage Analysis in CTMS for clinical trials, particularly in oncology (Preferred)
- Knowledge of coding with CPT (Preferred)
